Dr. Popova's burdock ointment is very suitable for the care of children's atopic eczema, lichen and dry skin. The ointment is characterized by very good skin tolerance, which is why its use is also suitable for young children (from 3 years).

Burdock ointment can also be used to care for other skin problems, if you are suffering from, for example, fungus, eczema or diaper rash. Burdock ointment is based on ancient recipes of highly valued burdock oil, effective for various skin problems.

The herbal basis of burdock ointment is greater burdock (Arctium Lappa), also popularly known as Indian root, hedgehog, thistle or beggar's buttons. This plant often occurs as a weed and is one of our largest herbs (it can grow up to 2 meters). The roots and leaves of greater burdock contain a number of active substances: glycosides, flavonoids, tannins, essential oils, polyacetylenes, resins, mucilage, alkaloids and essential oil. Burdock seeds contain essential fatty acids and vitamins A and B2.

In herbal medicine, the root of the plant is mainly used for its pronounced fungicidal and phytoncidal effects. The root is collected in autumn and is widely used in ointments. The ointment base is purified, uncooked pork lard (extracted with hot steam), which, thanks to its composition, is one of the highest quality ointment bases. It is very well absorbed into the skin, is a high-quality carrier of medicinal substances contained in herbs and is used to treat various dermatitis. Although various synthetic substances are currently widely used, nothing can replace high-quality pork lard in ointments.

Burdock ointment also contains real beeswax - it has excellent protective and moisturizing properties and increases the resulting quality of the ointment.

Ingredients: Pork lard, beeswax, burdock root, thyme, walnut, fenugreek, morning glory, perfume (a mixture of natural essential oils).
