Description
Enhydrol banana is a food for special medical purposes in the form of a water-soluble powder intended for the preparation of a rehydration solution.
It helps replenish water, electrolytes and energy in case of diarrheal diseases, fever or vomiting and thus prevents dehydration of the organism. Its composition corresponds to the recommendations of ESPGHAN (European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition). Enhydrol Banana is intended for infants and children from the 1st week of age as well as adults.
Thanks to its natural banana flavor, the product is well accepted by pediatric patients.
Dosage
Mix the contents of the bag in 200 ml of drinking water (for babies in boiled cooled baby water). The amount of liquid in which the contents of the sachet are dissolved must be observed to achieve the optimal amount of salts, sugars and liquids in the solution. Always administer this solution chilled to 4 - 8 °C. Serve by spoonfuls. Use the prepared solution immediately. Light degree of dehydration: 30-50 ml/kg of the child's weight/ 4 hours. For each watery stool, an additional 10 ml/kg of the child's weight. Moderate degree of dehydration: 50-100 ml/kg of the child's weight/ 4 hours. For each watery stool, an additional 10 ml/kg of the child's weight. Severe dehydration: seek medical attention.
