Gemioptal® TOP Q is a dietary supplement developed by experts in cooperation with the Gemini eye clinic. It contains the substances zeaxanthin and FloraGLO® lutein. Lutein and zeaxanthin are the basic building blocks of the macular pigment. The macular pigment can be compared to sunglasses that protect the eyes from daily exposure to sunlight due to long-term computer work or glare from car headlights. The FloraGLO® lutein contained in Gemioptal® TOP Q is more easily absorbed by the body than ordinary lutein contained in conventional preparations. The absorbability of this type of lutein is increased by the patented Actilease technology used.
In addition, Gemioptal® TOP Q contains 15 mg of zinc and 250 mg of DHA (a component of omega-3 fatty acids) in one capsule. Consuming this amount of DHA and zinc daily has a beneficial effect on vision and proper brain and heart function.
