UNICATUM Chondro peat balm was developed as a massage product after strenuous daily activities based on a traditional, generations-tested recipe. This peat balm also contains herbal extracts (e.g. comfrey, chestnut, juniper). The balanced composition of UNICATUM Chondro peat balm guarantees a strong and broad effect. Some of the ingredients of this balm also contain substances that are known to relieve joint, muscle and spine pain and muscle overload. Peat (Peat Extract) – Peat is known to be used in traditional spas to warm the skin. A secondary effect of warming with peat can also be relief from muscle overload, after sports, after an injury or during degenerative processes of the musculoskeletal system. Thanks to its high content of minerals and humic acids, peat is suitable as a complementary treatment for rheumatic diseases and osteoporosis. Substances contained in peat, such as magnesium, zinc and silicon, also have a beneficial effect in the care of problematic skin. Overall, they soothe the skin and keep it in good condition.
Comfrey (Symphytum Officinale Extract) – The use of comfrey has already been documented by the Greeks and Romans in the 2nd century AD. During the Middle Ages, comfrey in the form of a compress became an aid mainly for fractures. The main component of comfrey is allantoin, which supports regeneration, effectively accelerates cell renewal and eliminates the feeling of fatigue. It also significantly helps in resolving post-traumatic conditions.
Juniperus Communis Oil – Juniper activates the lymphatic system, which helps remove toxic substances. It effectively accelerates the regeneration of strained muscles. Increases blood circulation in the skin.
Horse Chestnut (Aesculus Hippocastanum Extract) – The active substances obtained from the chestnut are aescin, tannins and flavonoid glycosides. These components contribute to increasing the elasticity of vascular walls, increasing circulation speed, venous outflow and reducing the formation of edema. They also have a significant anti-inflammatory and healing effect.
