Milk thistle and silymarin
Milk thistle is a thistle-like plant with reddish-purple flowers and stiff, white-spotted spiny leaves. It comes from the Mediterranean, warm regions and grows mainly in our gardens. It blooms from June to August.
Fruits - seeds, which are the source of silymarin, are collected shortly before ripening, which is usually at the end of summer. Milk thistle is also known by the Latin name Silybum marianum or Carduus marianus.
Lipovitan®S is a food supplement containing the hepatoprotective substance silymarin.
Silymarin contributes to the protection of the liver and its normal function.
Dosage
Maximální denní dávka silymarinu je 420 mg. Dospělí a děti od 12 let užívají 1 tabletu 3x denně, děti ve věku 5-12 let 1 tabletu denně. Tablety polykejte celé, bez kousání, nejlépe po jídle a zapíjejte je vodou.
Ingredients
80% extrakt ze semene rostliny ostropestřec mariánský (odpovídá 140 mg silymarinu).
