Description
BIO-GARLIC tablets may help to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system, including healthy blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Garlic supplements from Pharma Nord also helps to maintain a healthy immune system and has antibacterial action against certain types of harmful bacteria.
Garlic is a member of the onion family, used as a source of sulphur containing substances, which have beneficial effects within the body.
Concentrated BIO-GARLIC in tablets without garlic smell:
- helps maintain healthy blood pressure
- helps maintain cholesterol levels
- garlic compounds can also reduce ‘stickiness’ of blood, reducing the risk of blood clots
- preparation contains the same active ingredients as fresh garlic
- each tablet contains 300 mg of dried garlic powder, equivalent to 4.7 mg of the active compound (amino acid alliin)
- the gastro-resistant surface of the tablets (i.e. the tablets pass through the stomach intact, only dissolving in the small intestine).
When alliin the active compound comes into contact with the enzyme alliinase, the substance allicin forms. Allicin garlic gives garlic its characteristic odor. Our Garlic supplements are odourless garlic tablets, preserving the active ingredients and their enzyme activity from the fresh garlic in manufacturing. When the garlic tablets fully dissolve in the intestine after ingestion, the garlic enzyme allinase activates and converts the alliin to allicin garlic, thereby reducing the risk of garlic breath significantly. Furthermore, the delayed dissolution of the garlic tablets mean that the alliin and alliinase content is not broken down and inactivated in the stomach.

Dosage
1 tablet per day before a meal. Can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
