Description
BIOACTIVE FOLIC is a single-component preparation consisting of yellow tablets with folic acid. The folic acid used in the preparation Bioactive Folic is the most absorbable form: folate monoglutamate.
Folic acid contributes to the normal growth of fetal tissue during pregnancy and supports cell division and proper hematopoiesis. Folic acid is part of the coenzymes needed for various processes of the cells themselves, e.g. the formation of the amino acid methionine from homocysteine and the formation of glycine from serine. Folic acid is suitable for pregnant women or those planning a pregnancy for its help in tissue growth during pregnancy (it plays a role in normal cell division), reducing fatigue and exhaustion, supporting a healthy immune system, normal homocysteine metabolism. It contributes to normal psychological functions and normal hematopoiesis.
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has assessed the documented properties of folic acid preparations and has established the following claims:
- a daily intake of at least 400 µg of folic acid in women of childbearing potential, at least one month before conception until the third trimester, reduces the risk of neural tube defects in the developing fetus,
- contributes to normal maternal tissue growth during pregnancy,
- contributes to normal amino acid synthesis,
- contributes to normal hematopoiesis,
- contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism,
- contributes to normal psychological function,
- contributes to the normal function of the immune system,
- contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue,
- participates in the process of cell division.
Folic acid is found in various foods. Good sources include: liver, fruit juices, beans, cabbage, spinach, lettuce.

Dosage
1 tablet per day after breakfast. Not for children under 12 years. The medicine can be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding women after consultation with your physician. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Ingredients
Folic acid - 400 µg. Ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, talc, hydroxypropymethyl cellulose, riboflavin, magnesium salts of fatty acids, titanium dioxide, pteroylmonoglutamic acid (folic acid).
