Description
Contains microencapsulated iron SunActive® Fe and vitamin C.
Microencapsulation of iron particles is carried out using a patented process, where microparticles (up to 20x smaller than in other commonly used preparations) are dispersed and given an emulsion coating that prevents stomach irritation, unpleasant taste and iron odor. Micronization will allow for easy passage of very small particles through the intestinal wall.
Iron has many irreplaceable functions in the body:
- contributes to normal energy metabolism

- contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin
- contributes to normal oxygen transport in the body
- contributes to normal function of the immune system

- contributes to protecting cells from oxidative stress
- contributes to normal collagen formation
Iron deficiency can occur in cases of:
- pregnancy
- unbalanced diet (e.g. in vegetarians)
- reduction diets
- iron absorption disorders
- heavy bleeding during menstruation
- interaction of certain medications
