Description
One of the main problems with inflammation of the edges of the eyelids (blepharitis) is the solidification of the secretion of the sebaceous glands (Meibomian glands) located on the edge of the eyelids. This can lead to the formation of crusts on the edge of the lid and eyelashes. Heat treatment softens the crusts on the edge of the lid and the secretion of the Meibomian glands. This makes it easier to remove the crusts and the secretions can be simply wiped off with a subsequent massage of the lids. Therefore, it is extremely important to maintain or improve the function of the Meibomian glands.
However, heat treatment is only successful if a warm and humid climate is maintained at a constant temperature of around 45°C for up to 10 minutes. The POSIFORLID® eye mask is a self-heating mask that meets these requirements in a specific way and can be used approximately 90 times.
