Description

Rinsing the nose with a Rhino Horn™ watering can is a natural and very effective alternative to using conventional nasal sprays and drops.

If you have a blocked nose, suffer from colds, sinus infections or have allergies or hay fever, rinsing your nose with a Rhino Horn™ teapot can help. This method is very effective in the prevention and treatment of common inflammations of the upper respiratory tract, as well as acute and chronic inflammations of the paranasal sinuses. The saline solution washes away the inflammatory secretion, moistens the mucous membrane and accelerates its regeneration.

For people suffering from allergic rhinitis (especially as a result of allergies to pollen and dust), rinsing the nose will remove allergens and thus alleviate the symptoms.

Nasal irrigation has also proven itself as care after surgical interventions in the nose area, for people living in a dusty environment and for excessive drying of the nasal mucosa.

Rinsing contributes to the relief of the so-called posterior rhinitis and can prevent otitis media.

For generations, fishermen all over the world have been rinsing their noses with salt water. Also within yoga, nasal hygiene is one of the many cleansing processes practiced. In general, yoga is becoming popular and is successfully spreading in our civilization as well. For example, tooth brushing has been practiced in the yogic tradition for thousands of years, but has only really become common in Western culture in the last 100 years or so.

Rinsing the nose as part of daily hygiene has become popular in Western Europe and North America in recent years and undoubtedly belongs to the prevention of viral and bacterial infections.

The procedure of rinsing the nose is called a nasal shower or nasal lavage, and in the yoga system it is called Jala Neti. The nasal irrigation vessel used in the yoga system is traditionally called Lota Néti, in English the term Neti Pot is used. We can also meet previously used names such as nasal irrigator or applicator.
