For the correct anatomical shape of the foot, the position of the heel bone relative to the axis of the lower limb is very important. The correct position of the heel bone is such that its axis is perpendicular to the pad. This position ensures even tension of the leg muscles, the correct arrangement of the arch of the foot and prevents overloading of individual arches of the arch. The asymmetrical heel pad is made of whipped latex, in the lower part it is shaped into a slight wedge, which, due to its shape, acts against incorrect heel positioning. The surface of the heel pad is covered with soft lambskin. One pair of heel pads can be used for both inward and outward deflection of the axis of the lower limb with appropriate application. High-quality self-adhesive foil secures the heel pad against displacement.
