Description
HYLO NIGHT® is a gentle eye ointment containing vitamin A (retinyl palmitate) that provides long-lasting protection and lubrication of the eye surface during sleep. It helps stabilize the tear film, moisturize the cornea and conjunctiva, and relieve symptoms such as dryness, burning, irritation, and tired eyes. Suitable for all levels of dry eye syndrome.
During sleep, natural tear production decreases significantly, making additional eye protection especially important. Thanks to vitamin A, a natural component of the tear film, the ointment spreads evenly across the eye surface and forms a protective layer that helps prevent dryness and eyelid sticking upon waking.
HYLO NIGHT® is free from preservatives and phosphates, ensuring excellent tolerability even with long-term use. It can be used alongside moisturizing eye drops applied during the day.

Usage
Eye ointment is inserted directly into the conjunctival sac. This is positioned between the inside of the lower eyelid and the eyeball. Follow these tips on how to facilitate the correct application of ointment: sit or lie down and slightly tilt your head backwards. If you have problems applying the ointment, let someone else help you. Look upwards while you pull the lower eyelid down with a finger. Squeeze a line of eye ointment in the conjunctival sac. Leave the lower eyelid pulled down. Now close your eye as best you can. That way, the ointment is distributed better and not pressed out between the eyelids. When administering the eye ointment, you should make sure that the bottle or tube does not come into contact with eyelashes, cornea or conjunctiva. Otherwise, there is not just the danger of damaging the sensitive conjunctiva, but bacteria or viruses could get into the ointment. These can then in turn cause an infection at the next administration.
Dosage
It is recommended to put a strip of VitA POS® with a length of 1 cm in the conjunctival sac 1-3 times a day. The frequency of use is set individually depending on your feelings, lifestyle and according to the recommendations of an ophthalmologist. Especially effective is the use of VitA POS® before going to bed at night. The duration of treatment is not limited. VitA POS® should not be used while wearing contact lenses! It is recommended to use VitA POS® at night, after removing the lenses.
