Food supplement. The unique multimineral complex Aquamin is obtained from seaweed of the genus Lithiothamnion, which settles on the bottom of the unpolluted ocean off the west coast of Ireland. It contains calcium, magnesium, iodine and a whole range of minerals valuable to the human body. The advantage of the product is very good absorbability.
Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body, it is contained mainly in bones and teeth, which it gives the necessary strength. If the body does not have enough calcium in the diet, it draws it from the bones, which lose strength, break easily and become thin (osteoporosis). The daily calcium requirement for an adult is about 800-1000 mg, pregnant and lactating women need more calcium (1200-1400 mg per day). Part of this requirement is covered by food, especially milk and vegetables.
A necessary condition for calcium intake is the presence of vitamin D3, which facilitates the transport of calcium into the blood and enables its further use in the body - it supports cell renewal, enables the work of muscles and nerves, and stimulates the immune system. The ability to synthesize vitamin D3 itself decreases with age.
The element magnesium is also important for the use of calcium, which has a positive effect on fatigue and exhaustion. Together with calcium, it plays a central role in maintaining the strength of bones and teeth.
Iodine is one of the elements necessary for the growth and development of the human body, it is part of the hormones produced by the thyroid gland. Iodine deficiency leads to the formation of goiter (goiter).
Dosage
Adults and children from 12 years 2 tablets a day, children from 3 to 12 years 1 tablet a day. The product is not intended for children under 3 years.
