Description
VITAMIN D3 AXONIA OROFAST 1000 IU Sublingual Spray is a sweetened dietary supplement that contains a patented nanoemulsion with vitamin D3 microdroplets approximately 100 - 200 nm in size that allow rapid absorption of cholecalciferol into the bloodstream directly through the highly vascularized sublingual mucosa. In this way, a higher bioavailability of vitamin D3 is achieved as intestinal absorption is bypassed and the first-pass effect through the liver is reduced.
Vitamin D contributes to normal immune function, normal bone and dental health, normal muscle function and normal blood calcium levels. In children, vitamin D is also needed for normal bone growth and development.
The pack contains 30 ml.
Dosage
The usual daily dose for adults and children 12 years of age and older is one injection (1000 IU/25 mcg of cholecalciferol), or an equivalent dose given at longer intervals, such as weekly, every 14 days, or monthly.
For children over 3 years of age, the usual daily dose is 500 IU of cholecalciferol, which is achieved by administering 1 injection per day.
Shake the bottle before use. Apply pressure to the plunger and inject the emulsion into the mouth, preferably under the tongue (sublingually). Leave the emulsion in the mouth to allow it to be absorbed. Do not swallow. If multiple injections are required on the same day, it is recommended to allow sufficient time between injections for the emulsion from the previous injection to be absorbed. Swallowing the emulsion is not a disadvantage, however, the advantage of this application form is lost.
