EvoTears® represent a new therapeutic class in the treatment of dry eyes. Specifically, they deal with the evaporative form of dry eye, which is caused by excessive evaporation of the tear film due to a damaged lipid layer, i.e. an unstable or damaged lipid layer of the tear film.

Thanks to perfluorohexyloctane, EvoTears® eye drops spread over the surface of the tear film and create a protective layer of lipid and underlying aqueous layer. This reduces increased evaporation and relieves the symptoms of dry eyes. Since EvoTears® does not contain water, it is completely free of other excipients.

Usage

Step 1. Wash your hands before use. Step 2. Unscrew the cap from the bottle and remove the locking ring before first use. Step 3. After removing the cap, you should avoid touching the tip of the dropper in any way. Step 4. Please read and follow steps 5 and 6 before applying the vial to the eye. Step 5. Hold the open bottle with the dropper tip pointing up and gently squeeze the bottle. Step 6. Before bringing the vial to the eye, turn the vial upside down and release the pressure on the vial immediately. Air will penetrate the liquid into the vial. Keep the vial in this position, i.e. with the dropper tip pointing downwards. Step 7. Tilt your head back slightly and gently pull the lower eyelid away from the eye. If possible, look slightly upwards. Step 8. Hold the inverted open vial upright over the eye. Now the vial slightly squeeze and drip one drop into each eye. Warning: due to the special properties of EvoTears®, you may not feel the drop in your eye. For this case, it is recommended to use before mirror. Step 9. Do not touch the eye or eyelashes when using the dropper tip. Step 10. To disperse EvoTears® drops evenly, close your eyes after application. Step 11. After use, close the bottle with the cap again.
