Description
BIOACTIVE VITAMIN C+CALCIUM contains 750 mg of vitamin C per tablet, which is equivalent to 1.5 kilograms of oranges. It contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and the immune system. Vitamin C also contributes to the normal function of collagen for the normal functioning of bones, teeth, cartilage, gums, skin and blood vessels. Bioactive Vitamin C+Ca is made from a non-acidic source of vitamin C (calcium ascorbate), which is gentle on the stomach lining.
The chemical name of Vitamin C is ascorbic acid, which literally means "anti-scurvy acid". Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin and antioxidant that is part of several intracellular oxidation-reduction systems that are involved in the neutralization of reactive oxygen species (also known as free radicals). Vitamin C is involved in various enzymatic processes.
The concentration of vitamin C in the brain is ten times higher than in the blood. The highest concentration is found in white blood cells and blood platelets. The adrenal glands, pituitary gland, testicles and ovaries also have a high concentration of vitamin C.
Properties of Vitamin C:
- an important antioxidant that participates in intracellular oxidation-reduction systems,
- in doses of around 100 mg per day it is almost fully absorbed by the intestinal wall. At higher doses or in the case of diarrhea, its absorbability decreases,
- able to regenerate vitamin E that has been damaged by oxidation by free radicals,
- participates in the formation of collagen in the construction of connective tissues (it maintains the enzyme propyl hydroxylase in an active form). A manifestation of vitamin C deficiency is scurvy, which is a result of collagen degradation,
- important for our energy metabolism, immune and nervous systems and also for mental functions. Increases the absorption and bioavailability of iron and copper from food,
- is able to reduce fatigue and exhaustion.

Dosage
1 tablet 1-2 times a day during or after a meal. Can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
