Description
Black Himalayan salt is a special type of volcanic unrefined salt that has a very specific and distinctly sulfurous smell reminiscent of eggs. It can be used mainly in Indian cuisine, but also in various salads. Himalayan black salt, or sanchal or kala namakse, is not actually black, but rather deep pink, brick red or gray. This is mainly due to its high content of iron and other minerals. Black salt is mined mainly in volcanic areas of Pakistan and India, and is not bleached or refined. Thanks to this, it retains the maximum amount of valuable trace elements.
